Our Mission & Vision
The mission of “The Place of Grace” is to reveal how much you are loved by God, to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ to all his creation who have been misled through traditional religious control. The vision of our church is service to restore individuals and families to a sound relationship with our Lord and Savior. We endeavor to reach hundreds through the revelation of “God’s Grace,” and recognize the missionary activities and support necessary to minister the ordinances of God in order to edify believers, to reach the lost and to do all that is of a doctrinal truth and Holy Spirit inspired to magnify the name of Jesus. Our vision and mission incorporates and involves reaching all ethnicities to worship our Lord and Savior together. We are all God’s people called by His marvelous name. God does not separate us by race. Instead He joins us together through His peculiar love. We endeavor to worship together as believers of One Body, One Spirit, One Hope, One Love, of like mind with one another and surely with Christ. Philippians 2:1-11. The Father wants everyone of His children to worship and fellowship in a safe environment where the greatest growth of relationship, praise, obedience and worship can occur.
Leadership Team:
Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believer not only for the work of a ministry but also for life’s challenges until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Pastor’s David & Althea Franklin, Senior Co-Pastor’s
As the primary teaching pastor’s, David and Althea have a passion for carefully unpacking the truths of Scripture. Since establishing the Place of Grace in 1998, David is known for his engaging, insightful, and challenging teaching of God’s Grace. He brings a revealing and practical application of God’s Word to the lives of people. His vision is for all God’s people to worship together and and come to the knowledge of God’s unconditional love. His wife, Althea, is dedicated to teaching and ministry that has its foundation firmly anchored in the “Grace” message. Althea is deeply passionate about people knowing, believing, and experiencing the power of God’s immeasurable, transforming love in their hearts and lives. Together, they have birthed one daughter, Heather, who participates in the “Place of Grace” worship team.
Cynthia-Williams Queen, Youth & Outreach Activities
Tenacious, determined, and dedicated are a few words that come to mind in describing this extraordinary woman of God. Cindy’s vision for the youth and young adults is to see them grow, expand, and develop as future leaders. She has involved them in outreach activities, concerts, local mission trips, as well as Acquire the Fire and other organizations. Cindy is an excellent leader of youth and adults. She has dedicated her life to serving others, giving, and developing life skills and spiritual gifts that are eternal.
Deborah Butler, Worship & Music Leader
The Bible has a lot to say about music, worship and the playing of instruments. Deborah’s role is to lead the church’s worship of God in a way that matches the character of God. Deborah has been leading the worship team at The Place of Grace for several years. She has a passion to lead God’s people in worship and minister in a way that encourages others to not only lift their voices to God but to actually experience a relationship of praise with the Father of Heaven and Earth.
